Offered here is an original issue of a scarce publication titled, "THE OPAL NEWS for Opal Lovers World Wide Featuring World Famous, Beautiful Virgin Valley, Nevada Black Opal," Edited and published by Philip W. Brown in Lutz, Florida 6 times a year. This is volume 17 May/June, 1995. 10 1/2" X 8 1/4", pages 16 with 16 color photographs of Virgin Valley opal; several b&w text figures. This publication is printed on inexpensive newsprint else good. This publication contains much information on opal and its occurrences worldwide and Virgin Valley, Nevada in particular. The 16 color photos illustrate specimens of Virgin Valley black opal offered for sale with prices ranging from $1,000. to $900,000. This publication was circulated from about 1992 or 1993 to about 1997 or thereabouts. Finding a copy is RARE, especially this special color issue.  I have several copies of these that Phil personally sent to me while I was living and mining in Virgin Valley (full-time) to circulate, and I was featured in several of these newsletters (but NOT this particular issue).  I recently found them while I was looking through old boxes that I had in storage for decades.  THIS LISTING IS FOR ONE (1) original copy.
