Apache Agate small polished face half nodule, excellent for the locality, and super rare. Chihuahua, Mexico. This was previously in the Cowan collection, and I purchased it for our Apache Agate collection from Kristalle in Laguna Beach a number of years back, about 2021 for $1,600.-. I felt then, as I do now, that its worth quite more than that. Extremely rare nowadays. Most you see are polished slabs or slices. This is a small half nodule, polished. This is #9 in our collection of Apache Agates. Unfortunately its time for us to downsize our cabinets, and many of our agates/jasper specimens are going to need to find new loving homes. This is a museum quality collector piece, and is one of the last of 7 specimens that we still have of this locality.
