APACHE AGATE #7 "The Trident" MUSEUM Quality Specimen polished slab, rare pink banding with white points and oil paint reds. This piece was previously in the Rice family collection, and traded to the cutters and polishers in exchange for cutting their agates. Very rare pink and white banding with White tips or points, and the "oil paint reds" that are highly sought and rare as well. This was cut from a famous agate and there are a few pieces out there, including one still in the Rice collection museum. In my opinion the best of these was "The Cross" previously in my collection and sold earlier this year to a friend and fellow collector. This piece I acquired from my friend Walter, who was one of the cutters along with Maurice. I bought his entire Apache collection and it became the core of my Apache collection. You just don't see them like this anymore. Kristalle still has another slice off this piece, but i think this one is better, in my opinion. This one could use a light repolish, the original cutters left some light scratches, but not distracting, and easy to fix.
