Original Rattlesnake Pattern jasper-agate/chalcedony/opalized diatomacious earth from the original vein, best known as RATTLESNAKE JASPER and incorrectly called "Howardite" after one of the finders (scientifically, true Howardite is a meteorite type).  This vein, in northwest Nevada, was dug in the 1950's - 1960s and is no longer producing, though other claims are in the area producing a different new feathered material now being called "Royal Flamingo Agate" or "Red Howardite."  This material (the old, original 'Plaid" Rattlesnake pattern)  is SCARCE and highly sought to say the least, and is now selling BY THE GRAM, when and IF you can find it.  Currently priced at $385.- per POUND in our shop.

We have small pieces, faced rough, and chunks weighing several pounds.  Email with any questions and we can send photos/weights, or we will send a mix lot from what we have left when you just purchase with no inquiry or specifics.  Everyone always knew we had THE BEST Howardite material sold on the market.
