Purple Blue Cap Rubellite crystal Tourmaline Queen Mine Pala San Diego County California 1970s weighs 24 grams
Elbaite Tourmaline from Tourmaline Queen Mine Pala California USA. Pinkish Purple Cap/Termination that grades into blue and then reddish purple. Purchased several years ago out of a british collection. Similar to a couple that Byron Weege had in his collection at Pala back in 1994. This was likely mined between 1973-1978, and crystals like this are extremely rare. Dimensions: 24x21x21mm, weighs 24 grams, Size: Thumbnail (TN). Queen Mine pieces are highly sought and collectible pieces and these are just about impossible to find on the market nowadays and you have to get one whenever you see it, you never know when or if the next one will ever come available. I cannot replace it at any price
