THE UPPER OPAL QUEEN MINE CLAIMS, VIRGIN VALLEY, NEVADA
The Opal Queen #1-2M Lode Mining Claims in Virgin Valley, Humboldt Co., Nevada, consisting of two contiguous UNpatented 20.66 acre LODE mining claims measuring 1500 x 600 ft. each, on a world-famous proven deposit. NMC#1196685 & NMC#1196686. Total of 41.32 acres. This deposit was the FIRST location made in Virgin Valley about 1908. The northern side borders/adjoins the patented Bonanza Opal Mine while the southern half adjoins the existing southern opal queen mine deposit. That's right, you are right up against the Bonanza border where some big opals were found in their main pit. You literally drive across this property to get to the Bonanza fee dig!! Also many assessment and discovery pits and some good bank (with dirt road access) to the Opal Queen #2-M claim. You couldn't get a better location in the valley today! I was lucky to acquire these claims and went out and staked them as soon as I discovered they were defaulted in September 2019. The prior owner tried to relocate them after I had acquired them, but those junior claims have NO rights as it is a matter of priority instead of lode vs placer. I had these claims up for sale a little while back, and took them down waiting for BLM to check land status. As you can see from the BLM data for the claims attached, land status has been checked and I am the senior claimant here. So I am relisting. There is NO way that the junior claimants can win these claims, I have consulted with attorneys and have read the laws myself on this. They also can't win by taking down the posts. That's illegal and does not affect the validity of the claim!!! I had them listed for $300k, then $125k last time. That's high based on the recent economic downturn due to the "virus" and why I am listing at this price. I HAVE BILLS TO PAY OTHERWISE I WOULD BE KEEPING THESE CLAIMS. YOU CAN'T GET BETTER GROUND IN THE VALLEY TODAY AND THIS IS THE BEST GROUND I HAVE HAD AVAILABLE. "Swordfishy John" complained like he usually does but they are THE BEST CLAIMS AVAILABLE IN THE VALLEY, and i am reducing the price from $125k to $65k which is MORE THAN REASONABLE and will still CONSIDER OFFERS. After all, the 20 acre Opal Negra asking price is $200k and its not nearly as good or demonstrated as the Opal Queen).... Walt is also selling to claims next to the patented Royal Peacock for $150k so I think my price is very reasonable. This is a HISTORIC claim, likely the first discovery or at least the first mining location in the valley, around 1905 or 1906, and something like this almost never becomes available to the public. I have a large number of claims and am making this available. If it doesn't sell I will be happy to keep and mine it eventually. I might open up a fee dig here myself if it doesn't sell. The Opal Queen was operated as a fee dig for a short number of years. There is very bright opal here resembling Bonanza, some in large pieces. All types (white, crystal, black) have been found on the claims. There is a lot of petrified wood up here in addition that is found as a by-product of mining opal. Sometimes opal is found in the wood. The Opal Queen Group was surveyed by the govt in 1970s and that survey was published in 1984 (see photos). More recent mining since then has further defined the deposit and made tracing the layer easier. Once you find the opal zone you just follow it, it is a lead. I have also provided an aerial photo with the projected boundaries outlined so you can see everything you would be getting with these claims. PROVEN OPAL on this claim. The Opal Queen #1 is right up against the Bonanza Mine where the large open pit is. There is substantial overburden on this side, but there is also substantial opal here. It might be easier to dig in from the Opal Queen side of the hill and shave off the overburden as you get deeper. The Opal Queen #2M has less overburden in places and an existing dig.
Because the price on this one is high, I WILL WARRANT THE TITLE ON THESE 2 CLAIMS AS SENIOR AND VALID, VIA NOTARIZED AFFIDAVIT WITH A GUARANTEED TOTAL REFUND OF THE PURCHASE PRICE IN THE EVENT THAT THE CLAIM IS INVALID OR NOT SENIOR WITHIN 2 YEARS OF LOCATION DATE (SEPT 2019) AS PER THE NEVADA STATUTES FOR CIVIL ACTIONS. I WILL FURTHER TESTIFY IN ANY ACTION TO DEFEND THE TITLE OF THESE CLAIMS.
ACCESS: There is only one way in/out which is a very well-traveled dirt road leading off from the road between Virgin Valley Campground to the Royal Peacock (Virgin Valley Ranch Rd). The road leads north from the signs at the turnoff to Bonanza and Opal Queen, up the hill, past the lower Opal Queen claims/camp, to the claims and the border of the Bonanza Opal Mine. In good weather it is accessible by 2wd by most vehicles.
DO NOT ATTEMPT IN WET WEATHER!!!

THIS IS AN OPAL BEARING DEPOSIT AND CLAIM, not just a prospect. I repeat that OPAL has been found here. There are a lot of people selling mining claims today. Do your homework. YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR AND YOU WANT QUALITY if you are buying a claim. You want a claim that has something on it, not just a "prospect."
This is for 100% full ownership of the claim/s, not a % or share where you have to split your opal with anyone - YOU WILL OWN THE MINE/CLAIM 100% and get to KEEP ALL THE OPALS YOU FIND. I restaked this one to keep or to sell to raise funds for my other mining operations in the valley because this is a great claim. I have a number of claims in the valley, some of the best ground here.... If it doesn't sell I will be happy to keep it, but I do want to pay for mining expenses. Annual upkeep/maintenance is pretty simple but can be confusing to newcomers who have never done this before. I WILL HELP YOU. The yearly blm fee is $165 and about $35 with the county. I am paying the registration fees with both the County and BLM so it will be valid thru August 31 2020 and if you buy it I will show you how to keep it, very simple work & process. You could also qualify for a small miner waiver (if you have 10 total mining claims or less) meaning you would pay far less (SME is no fee, $15 per claim yearly BLM to file affidavit work, and $35 with the county) but would have to do $100+ work yearly as has been done in the past if you are under a waiver. Transfer will be made via QUITCLAIM DEED. After payment, I will sign a declaration of value both by myself and in your name as agent which is just a formality that gets attached to the transfer deed (no tax- mining claims are exempt from transfer tax in NV per Nevada statute). I will then forward the deed and DOV with fees to the County for filing and you will receive the deed about 1-2 weeks later. I will email you a copy with the tracking number to the county and will also record the transfer with the BLM after it gets recorded with the county so it goes smoothly with no problems. FREE SHIPPING but I will require SIGNATURE CONFIRMATION UPON DELIVERY.
So anyhow, this is a really good chance for you to get a TOP claim in Virgin Valley. Comes with my help in the Virgin Valley for up to 2 (two) weeks showing you the claim, and tricks to finding opal and explaining the deposit, anytime after September 5, 2020. I spent two weeks in Virgin Valley in September 2019 planning to move back there the late summer of 2020 full time to mine opals and prove some things out there. Can possibly be shown before that depending on weather/local conditions, pending matters, and my schedule.

If this claim is not what you are looking for, I HAVE SEVERAL OTHER OPAL CLAIMS FOR SALE in the valley from $2500.- up. I also have a millsite for sale on power. What price range are you looking for, what specifics are you looking for ??? If I can help or answer any questions please let me know. I will be in Virgin Valley from (hopefully August 2020) but likely September 2020 and can show you the claim and deposit in person any time during that period. When the roads get wet in the valley many of the dirt mine access roads become impassable due to the clay but this is a nice security feature as well.

SOME BASIC MINING CLAIM INFORMATION:
WHAT THEY ARE AND WHAT YOU CAN AND CANNOT DO:
The purpose of this paragraph is to provide you with some basic information about what a mining claim is, and what you can and cannot do with a mining claim. A mining claim is a parcel of land which is valuable for the mineral deposit therein. When you locate or purchase an unpatented mining claim, you do not get the rights to the land-- what you get is the right to the mineral deposit covered by the claim and the right to own, access, develop, and extract that mineral deposit. There are different types of mining claims (Lode, Placer, Tunnel Site, and Millsite) and the rights involved with each varies. You cannot get lode rights by locating/acquiring a placer claim. Millsites must be located on non-mineral ground and are used for processing activities related to the minerals. You cannot use a mining claim for activities which are not related to mining. Mining Claims can be sold, willed, inherited or transferred. A good general reference on mining claims is the online booklet published by the US Dept of the Interior/BLM entitled "MINING CLAIMS AND SITES ON FEDERAL LAND" (Click on the title for link to open to book on BLM website). This is a great introduction to mining claims. Another excellent reference is: Papke, K., & David, D. (2002) Mining Claim Procedures for Nevada Prospectors and Miners. Special Publication 6. 5th Edition. Nevada Bureau of Mines & Geology, Mackay School of Mines, University of Nevada, Reno. CLICK HERE FOR LINK to PDF on ICMJ.
