NEEDLES BLUE AGATE GEM SILICA FOR SALE

Needles Blue Agate, called Needles Blue Gem Silica by some, is a highly sought Lapidary material from the Mojave Desert of California.  It is generally small webbed veins of blue gem silica in a grey to pinkish rhyolite porphyry matrix, the agate can vary from a pale blue to almost black.  Occasionally the gem silica is thick enough to cut solid stones without matrix.  Deep blue with pink matrix can cut highly contrasting and very valuable stones.  Generally sold by the gram, although sometimes you can find large chunks in old collections.  It is one of the most sought after agate gems among collectors.  I built up a small collection of this material over the last couple of years, and will be adding pieces here for sale until they are gone.
